We’re so excited to share that our friends at Delaware State Parks have won the 2021 National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management by the National Recreation and Park Association. The National Gold Medal Award showcases the hard work and dedication put in by Delaware State Parks. This biennial Gold Medal award has only been given 13 times since its establishment in 1997. Delaware and Florida are the only state park systems to win the award more than once.

Delaware State Parks has persevered throughout the past two years and has experienced record-breaking growth during the COVID-19 pandemic. The division has also remained committed to innovation with their creative public-private partnerships with places like Big Chill Beach Club!
